Hello!
My name is Connie Yaccarino. This is my first year at Wando High School. I have previously taught in North Carolina for the past 8 years.
I was born in New York and moved to Rocky Mount, North Carolina, when I was 16. After graduating High School I attended East Carolina University (go Pirates!!) to pursue a degree in History Education. I graduated in the Spring of 2010 and began my teaching career that fall.
My first teaching job was at Manteo High School in Dare County. I worked there for 5 years and loved living on the coast. However, my husband and I decided to move inland for more opportunities for his job. That is when I began teaching at Rolesville High School in Wake County. I was there for 3 years and became a proud member of the Ram family. But again, for my husband's job we moved to Charleston. We are very happy to be back on the coast and I am so very excited to begin my time at Wando High.
